Tampa International Airport: This airport, situated just 10kms away from the heart of the city, is the chief airport of Tampa. Formerly known as the Drew Field Municipal Airport, this airport is noted for its architectural beauty and exclusive facilities. Peter O. Knight Airport: This airport of Tampa gained its name after famous businessman Peter O. Knight. Downtown Tampa is just five minutes away from this airport. During the 1935 – 1945 periods this was the major airport of Tampa. Even today it attains a significant position for being close to the central part of the city.
Vandenberg Municipal Airport: On the eastern part of the city this airport is situated. It caters basically the business air traffic of downtown Tampa. Leading Edge Aviation Services operates the Vandenberg Municipal Airport. It is open on all the seven days in a week, from 7am to 8pm.
