Delta Connection is the principle name provided to a group of eight regional airlines. These eight airlines operate medium and short route flights for Delta Air Lines , the mainline carrier. SkyWest, Freedom Airlines, Big Sky Airlines, ExpressJet Airlines, Shuttle America, Comair, Atlantic Southeast Airlines and Chautauqua Airlines are the airlines which fall under the Delta Connection. Alike the Comair airline, the Atlantic Southeast Airlines (ASA) was also solely owned and operated by the Delta Air Lines until 2005 when it was sold to the SkyWest. The American Eagle airline

Recently, the Pinnacle Airlines has been incorporated under the Delta Connection. It has 16 Bombardier CRJ-900 carriers which will start operating in different destinations from the end of 2007.
